Better prints, less guesswork

ColourKaka printing guide

Use these settings to get clean A4 outlines without accidentally cropping the page.

Choose the right file

Use the PDF when you want the easiest print-ready option. Choose the JPEG when you want to save the image, place it in another document or print through a photo application.

Recommended A4 settings

  • Paper size: A4 (210 × 297 mm).
  • Orientation: Portrait unless the printable itself says landscape.
  • Scale: Fit to printable area or Fit to page.
  • Margins: Default or minimum printer margins.
  • Colour mode: Black and white is suitable for line-art pages.

Paper suggestions

Regular 75–90 GSM copier paper is suitable for crayons and coloured pencils. Heavier 100–160 GSM paper is useful for sketch pens, paint or artwork you want to display. Always check the maximum paper thickness supported by your printer.

If part of the page is missing

Change the printer setting from “Actual size” to “Fit”, then check the preview again. Also confirm that A4—not Letter—is selected.
